Sao Mai — "Morning Star" in Vietnamese — is more than just a name. It's a story of resilience, family, and a journey that began far from home.
Our father's path to America was anything but ordinary. As a fisherman in Vietnam, his life changed in an instant — a damaged basket boat, a desperate leap, and a journey that took three long years before he finally arrived in the United States. What he carried with him wasn't just survival, but a deep love for the sea, for fresh ingredients, and for the flavors of miền Trung — Central Vietnam.
That love became Sao Mai.
